The protection of your personal data and your privacy is important to us. We collect, store and use personal data exclusively within the scope stated in this data protection policy. We maintain up-to-date technical measures to ensure data security. We also pass on our commitment to data protection to our employees.

1. Subject Matter of this Data Protection Policy

This Data Protection Policy applies to the website www.eKidz.eu including subdomains (hereinafter "Website").

This Data Protection Policy does NOT apply to the software application eKidz.eu, a digital program for reading and language promotion, which is available as a web application at https://ekidzwebappdewest.azurewebsites.net/Admin/Login (hereinafter "Webapp") and as a native app for iOS and Android with the name "eKidz.eu" for download from the App Stores (hereinafter "eKidz-App"). The use of the Website is independent of the use of the eKidz-App. The website serves informational purposes. The subject of data protection is personal data. According to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter "DSGVO"), these are individual details about personal or factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person, such as name, address, telephone number and e-mail address. Anonymized information that cannot be assigned to a specific person is not personal data.

2. Responsible Body eKidz.eu GmbH

The responsible party within the meaning of Article 4(7) of the GDPR is eKidz.eu Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung (hereinafter "eKidz.eu GmbH"), Steinstraße 3, 81667 Munich, Germany, represented by the managing directors Nataliia Tetruiieva, John McDonagh and Felix Haffner. 3. Your Rights

3.1 You have the following rights with respect to personal data concerning you: right to information, right to rectification and erasure, right to restriction of processing, right to object to processing and right to data portability.

3.2 You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data by us.

4. Informational Use of the Website

4.1 If you use our Website for informational purposes - i.e. you do not use the contact forms or otherwise transmit information - we only collect the personal data that your internet browser transmits to our server.

4.2 So when you view the Website, we collect the following data, which are technically necessary for us to display the Website to you and to ensure stability and security (legal basis is Article 6(1) DSGVO): IP address, name of the retrieved web pages of eKidz.eu, the date and time of the retrieval, time zone difference (GMT), the browser type along with version, the operating system, the previously visited website and the requesting provider.

5. Use of Cookies on Website

5.1 We use cookies on the Website. Cookies are small files that are transferred to your browser and stored there temporarily for the duration of the retrieval of our website (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies). We thereby receive certain information that serves to make the Website more user-friendly and effective. Cookies cannot execute programs or transfer viruses to your computer.

5.2 Session cookies are automatically deleted when you close the browser. Persistent cookies are deleted after a specified period of time on the Website.

5.3 The Internet browser of your device can be set to inform you about the setting of cookies and to allow cookies only in individual cases. You can also generally exclude cookies and set the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of the Website. 6. Inquiries via Email Address of eKidz.eu or Contact Form on Website

6.1 When you send us an email to the eKidz.eu email address provided on the Website or in the eKidz-App, or send the contact forms provided on the Website for certain actions (webinars, free working tools or trial access to the app), we store your email address as well as the information provided in your email or the contact forms. We use these exclusively for processing your request.

6.2 By submitting an inquiry or sending a contact form, you also agree in principle that we communicate with you by email.

6.3 We delete the data arising in connection with this correspondence after storage is no longer necessary or restrict processing if there are statutory retention obligations.

7. Newsletter Order via Website

7.1 You can order our newsletter on the Website by filling out the order form and confirming again that you agree to receive the newsletter (double opt-in procedure).

7.2 If you have ordered the newsletter, you allow us to send you an email with a newsletter up to 2 times a month. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. To do so, please click on the "unsubscribe" link in the email sent to you or unsubscribe by email directly at info@eKidz.eu.

8. Free Working Materials and Request 30 days Access ekidz-App

8.1 When you access the free working materials via the form on the websites, you will receive a link by email that will allow you to download all documents from the Website. All documents available free of charge may not be passed on to third parties in return for payment, or published, or used for other commercial purposes.

8.2 If you are a teacher, you can use the eKidz-App free of charge for 30 days. To do so, you can simply register in the eKidz app and activate a free and non-binding access directly in the eKidz-App. Alternatively, you can ask us for help and request access via the contact form on the Website. We will then get in touch with you.

8.3 In both cases, you confirm your email address (double opt-in procedure) and also receive our newsletter. In this respect, section 7 applies.

9. Use of Brevo (previous Sendinblue)

9.1 The Website uses Brevo to send newsletters. The provider is Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany. The data you enter when ordering the newsletter will be stored on Brevo's server in Germany.

9.2 Mit Hilfe von Brevo ist es uns möglich, unsere Newsletter-Kampagnen zu analysieren. So können wir z.B. sehen, ob eine Newsletter-Nachricht geöffnet und welche Links ggf. angeklickt wurden. Brevo ermöglicht es uns auch, die Newsletter-Empfänger anhand verschiedener Kategorien zu unterteilen. Auf diese Weise lassen sich die Newsletter besser an die jeweiligen Zielgruppen anpassen.

10. Google Analytics for the Website

10.1 To analyze the activities on the Website, we use Google Analytics, a service provided by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

10.2 Google Analytics uses cookies that record information about the use of the Website, and thus compiles reports about Website activity on our behalf. The information collected by the cookies is transferred to the Google Analytics server in the USA and stored there. The IP address transmitted by your browser is not merged with other data at Google Analytics.

You can prevent Google Analytics from storing cookies on your computer by setting your browser accordingly. We point out that in this case some functions of the website may be disrupted.

11. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram on the website.

The services of the following social networks are integrated on the Website:

If you are logged into one of these social networks while visiting the Website, a direct connection is established between your server and the server of the social network. The respective social network can thus assign your visit to the Website to your user account with the social network.

We as the provider of the Website have no information about the information and data transmitted to the social networks by the plug-in. Finally, please note that the servers of the social networks are regularly located outside of Germany, in Europe and sometimes also in the USA. When using the social networks, you therefore agree to the corresponding data transfer abroad.

12. Website’s Security

We take precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information, including:

  • SSL ("Secure Socket Layer") encryption for all app server communications,
  • The Website server is hosted in Germany (Microsoft Azure West Germany Central).

Of course you are responsible for keeping your user name and password safe. Please never pass on your password. We secure the passwords in encrypted form and therefore cannot send you your password if you forget it. In this case, please use the “Forgotten password” function in the App.

13. Changes at eKidz.eu GmbH

If the owners of eKidz.eu GmbH restructure their business, for example, the GmbH is merged into another company, or is otherwise acquired by another company or sells part of its assets, you agree that your personal data may be considered part of the transferred assets. The provisions of this Data Protection Policy will otherwise remain in effect.

This Data Protection Policy may be amended by eKidz.eu GmbH at any time.
