Get students out of their seats and engage them in multi-sensory activities: role plays, sharade and drama. Explore the school environment to build Tier-1 vocabulary. Name items and actions outside the classroom to build active language knowledge and to encourage authentic language use. Work in projects as a homework or in class. Have your students explore recipies, instructions for ancient games or building toys. Have your students prepare and practice a presentation to explain their project to class mates.Have your students plan and organize a classroom party with food, music, games, invitations, etc. A tasty and fun celebration of language learning!
